About Kuna, ID - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Kuna is a southwestern Idaho city positioned in Ada County. It is part of the Boise Metropolitan Statistical Area. There are almost 20,000 people living within the city limits of Kuna according to the United States Census Bureau. Kuna is the 14th largest city in the State of Idaho.

In the late 1800s, individuals began moving into southwestern Idaho after silver, gold, and ore were discovered in the Owyhee Mountains. In 1881, the Oregon Short Line Railway Company began laying tracks and planting train depots throughout the area. After the railroad began operating in 1882, a rail station known as Kuna was established. Individuals began moving into the area and a settlement quickly developed around the station. Eventually, the station was removed but Kuna remained and developed into the beautiful city that it is today.

Kuna is home to many attractions. Individuals visiting the city will quickly discover there is an abundance of outdoor activities to choose from. For example, Snake River Canyon Overlook is located in Kuna. This beautiful site overlooks the Snake River and also connects to the Canyon River Trail, a 12-miles hiking trail. Also located in Kuna is Celebration Park, the first archeological park in Idaho. Trails winding between boulders, historic Guffey Railroad Bridge, and campgrounds are all found at Celebration Park. Kuna is also home to many shopping, dining, and cultural attractions.

While living in Kuna, it is necessary for individuals to have easy access to both heating and cooling systems. The city is located in a climate that experiences four distinct seasons. In general, the winter season is characterized by very cool temperatures and the summer season is characterized very warm temperatures. Daytime temperature highs throughout these seasons range from the low-30s to low-90s on average.
