About Meridian, ID - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Meridian is a city located in the southwestern corner of the State of Idaho. It is positioned in Ada County and is the 2nd largest city therein. According to the United State Census Bureau, there were almost 100,000 people living in Meridian at the time of the 2016 census.

The history of Meridian dates back to the late 19th century. In 1893, the original Meridian town site was filed on a homestead land grant belonging to Eliza Ann Zenger. The husband of Eliza, Christian Zenger, filed the plat with county officials under the name Meridian. After the land was platted, many settlers began moving west to build up the town. By 1903, Meridian had grown to become a town with approximately 200 residents. Today, Meridian is a bustling city. Individuals relocating to Meridian will quickly discover why it is such a wonderful place to live. With many amenities, beautiful neighborhoods, friendly people, and an excellent quality of life, Meridian has grown to become the 3rd largest city in Idaho.

Meridian is located in a climate that experiences four distinct seasons. Summer and winter experience the most extreme weather patterns. During these seasons, temperatures range from the upper-80s to the low-30s. Average daytime temperature highs throughout the months of June, July, and August are in the upper-80s. When heat waves pass through Meridian, it is not uncommon for temperatures to climb up to the low-90s. During the months of winter, temperatures tend to remain in the low-40s during the daytime. At night, temperatures will dip well below freezing. Also, snowfall is common in Meridian during the winter season. To protect against the harshness of such contrasting seasons, residents of Meridian usually have both heating and cooling systems installed in their homes. These systems protect homes and keep residents comfortable and safe indoors.
